The first twelve pictures were taken at the 2008 “Wings & Wheels” show.

It’s a show I very rarely miss and this year, 2014, was no exception so I’ve added a few more current images.      The Red Arrows weren’t performing on the Saturday I went but what I mainly wanted to see was the only other ‘flying’ Lancaster Bomber which had been flown over from Canada to attend displays here during the season.    A unique and memorable sight.

The “Wing Walkers” are always a popular part of air shows and I have seen them under various sponsorship over the years.   What I had never seen or photographed before was the wing walkers leaving their harness and sitting on the leading edge of the wing a short distance from the aircrafts propeller – highly disciplined and very brave young ladies.
